Safety comes first
At Avanterra Park, safety comes first. All trails use a continuous safety system – once you clip on, you stay clipped in until you come off the trail. Our instructors guide you and make sure everyone feels comfortable, from the youngest visitors to adults.
Equipment and standards
- Continuous safety system – Kanopeo Safe Roller keeps you clipped in throughout
- Harness and helmet – Petzl gear, fitted to age and size
- Helmets on request – available, your instructor will advise
- Gloves – not sold on site; if you want them, bring your own sports gloves
Getting started
- Check-in and gear – we fit your harness, check clips and run through the basics
- Quick safety briefing – we show you how to move the trolley and how to use the zipline – right there on the first trail
- First elements – instruktor je u blizini i prati prve prolaze
- Your adventure – you continue at your own pace; ask an instructor any time you need help
Trail rules
- You stay clipped onto the safety cable – you don’t unclip until the end of the trail
- One person per obstacle – follow the order on the platform
- Follow instructor guidance – they decide when it’s safe to go
- Clothing and footwear – comfortable sportswear, closed trainers recommended; tie long hair back securely
- Personal items – leave them in the car whenever possible. Keep small items in zipped pockets or a small cross-body bag. Phones and keys must not dangle – if you’re unsure, leave them in the car.
The park goes through an annual safety inspection and certification with our partner Vertical Alps. The equipment is serviced ahead of the season and the park is inspected on site.
Children, parents and age guidance
Age guidance by each trail is there to help, not as a strict rule. Children progress differently – some are ready for higher levels sooner, others later.
- Parents can supervise from the ground and don’t need a ticket if they’re not going onto the trails
- If a child needs extra support, an instructor will suggest the best approach
Zipline and quick jump – limits
- Quick jump – minimum weight 20 kg, maximum 120 kg
- The instructor assesses readiness for younger children – safety comes first
Languages and communication
Briefings and guidance are available in Croatian and English. If needed, a briefing may also be possible in other languages – German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese – with clear demonstrations and simple instructions.
Arrival and on-site facilities
- Pets – welcome with responsible supervision
- Water – available on site
- Toilets – currently not available within the park
- Parking – the public car park by the forest has a daily parking fee; outside peak times, free spaces are sometimes available nearby
